It has taken me years of trial and error to finally feel like I found the perfect pair of shorts! Denim shorts are tricky little things. They can bunch in the thighs, be too short in the back, and plan and simple, just not be comfortable! If you are someone who, like me, wants to wear shorts that have a lived-in feel, and don’t show the world your rear end, this post is for you!

These shorts fit so well! Give them a good wash and they fit like you’ve owned them forever. I love the fact that even though they are a more modest pair of shorts, they still have a frayed hem, and some minimal distressing to keep them edgy! These are high rise (to conceal any problem spots in your tummy), and have a great inseam. These shorts are long enough that I feel like I am not mooning the world when I walk around! lol I must say, I also love that the length also just about covers some of my back thigh cellulite 🤷🏽♀️
I purchased them in this awesome black wash as well because, why not? I really love that this wash comes with a higher cut in the front. This allows me to show some more leg where I want to! No worries though, the back length is still just right 😊 I feel like I could dress this up with a strappy black heel and a white tee for a casual summer night out!

My Final Thoughts
When it comes to finding the perfect shorts, know exactly what you’re looking for. Every closet should have a black, white, light and dark wash pair to be complete. Also, not every occasion calls for a ton of distressing and a nice pair of classic denim can easily transition from night to day, yes even with denim! When it comes to the perfect denim shorts for me I look for 3 things: 1. Comfort 2. Wash and Inseam and 3. Quality.
What’s on your checklist for denim shorts?
