I tried Amazon Prime Wardrobe, Here’s How it Went!

Amazon Prime Wardrobe

Just when we thought Amazon couldn’t get any better, they went and launched Amazon Prime Wardrobe! Is there anything Amazon can’t do, honestly?! I have been wanting to try this service out because it screams convenience. For someone like myself who likes to change out my wardrobe pretty often, but has a husband who hates shopping at the mall, this seemed like the perfect fit. Am I the only one who hates to shop alone? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Amazon Prime members get the benefit of being able to select pieces of clothing, try them on in the comfort of their own home, send back what they don’t like/want and only get charged for what they end up keeping, brilliant!

I have seen many subscription services like this floating around before. Le Tote and Stitch Fix are just two that I feel every woman has probably heard about before. I for one was never intrigued by these companies because I am someone who knows what I like and I stick to it whether it be stores or brands. That’s the thing about Amazon Prime Wardrobe, they feature tons of brands that I already love and shop anyway, think Levis, Calvin Klein, ASTR the Label, etc., I just don’t have to go into the store to shop these brands anymore! 😱

Are you still reading? That must mean you’re interested in convenient fashion, you and I are on the same page here girlfriend wink 😉! I have broken down everything about my personal experience with Amazon Prime Wardrobe, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Let’s jump right on in!

As soon as you access the Prime Wardrobe portion of the Amazon website, you will see this, a brief rundown on how exactly this service works. You get 8 slots to fill in your “Prime Wardrobe cart”. You can fill them with anything from accessories, shoes, or clothing. You can also combine something for you, your husband, and your children all in the same Prime Wardrobe box, super convenient! Once you receive the box, you try the things on and send back what you don’t with to keep!

Amazon Prime Wardrobe Example of what I bought

When shopping, you’ll want to make sure that once you click on the size and color, that it still says “Prime Wardrobe” underneath the pricing. I have learned that sometimes, once you select a specific size and color, the option for Prime Wardrobe is no longer available, not sure what that’s all about.

Some Basic FAQ about Prime Wardrobe

  1. Prime Wardrobe is available to Amazon Prime Members ONLY!
  2. You must order a minimum of 3 items to ship your box, there is also a maximum amount of 8 items per box.
  3. Shipping and returns are always FREE!
  4. You have 7 calendar days to try on your items at home before you must ship back what you don’t want or you will be charged the full amount. Until then, you are charged absolutely nothing!

My Experience

Amazon Prime Wardrobe

This is how I received my box when I opened it. Things were a little messy inside but everything was neatly individually packaged (except for that blush blouse you see above) which was a plus. It did take me around 5 full business days to receive my package which was super slow for someone who is used to receiving anything from Amazon in 2 days max! It does clearly state that items can take 4-6 days to ship.

I really loved how easy it was to click and ship clothing items. I liked even more the fact that I wasn’t rushed to try things on. With a 7 day try-on window, I was able to really take my time feeling each piece out and seeing what I thought would work for me. The designers and quality of items that are offered on Amazon Prime Wardrobe is also pretty amazing. I ended up keeping both shoes, and the amazing jeans that I absolutely fell in love with! From a brand perspective, I feel that a customer is more prone to shop when shopping is easy, just like this. This allows people to order more frequently and even be introduced to some new brands and styles that they may have overlooked in a store before. Again, with fashion and women, convenience is always key!

Bottom line, If you are an Amazon Prime Member, I highly recommend giving this service a try. You have nothing to lose except the headaches of packed mall parking lots and messy fitting rooms 😉
