Hooray!! This teacher is officially on Summer Break 🍎!!! In just a few days I will be leaving for my first tropical vacation of the year, Dominican Republic! My sister in law is getting married and I have the pleasure of using her destination wedding as a mini-vacation as well!☀ I have never been to the Dominican Republic so of course my days are all laid out because that’s just how I travel. Anyone else neurotic about itineraries when they travel, like me? Sometimes it can get overwhelming (mostly for my husband who is a more “go with the flow” kind of guy haha) but other times I’m so happy I have a plan so that I really get to enjoy everything that I wanted to !
Speaking of planning, planning what to bring for a great beach day is an essential part of packing when you’re headed to a tropical destination! I will be staying at a resort so that means lots of long beach and pool days but most of all lots of sun no matter where I go. I have a feeling that most of my attire will consist of dresses and swimsuits! A well packed beach bag can either make or break you. Do you have a good insulated water bottle, SPF, face spray, a great book, a good pair of sunglasses? I can’t even count how many times I have had to get up from my beach chair and head back to my room because I forgot something!
Below, I made a list of everything that I would ideally pack for all of my beach and pool days (because if there wasn’t a list, this wouldn’t be me, right? 😂 ) and I have linked to some of the exact things that I am currently packing in my luggage for my trip, or very similar items that I would bring. {Click on photos to see details}
