So here I was one day thinking, I love my house, but I seriously hate the lack of storage! In fact, what you see here is just the shoes that I had unpacked from our big move a few months ago. I was determined to find a way to utilize this small closet in my office in a way that would really maximize the space so I got to work. I ended up finding two different shelving units that worked seamlessly together to create exactly what I was looking for! 😃
The Breakdown:
First, I measured the interior of my closet, jotted those dimensions down and headed out on the hunt. I headed over to target first and came across these shoe shelves. They were actually on sale for $10 and, although they were extremely simple, I grabbed two because I felt like at that price, it was worth a shot to try them out.

After heading home and trying these out, I realized that they fit perfectly, BUT they were very low . In fact, they were so low in height, that they only fit my flats and loafers. I jumped on the computer to try and find another unit that would not only work with these, but also that would have better shelf height options. I ended up coming across this “book shelf” Walmart. The best part was, it was UNDER $20! After carefully measuring the remainder of the space in my closet, I ran out to pick up one of these.

I was so relieved that these shelves stacked so well and fit so perfectly into the closet! They seriously look like they were made for this space 👍🏽 I couldn’t be happier with how this little closet DIY turned out 😊
My Final Thoughts:
I am so happy with the end result of this project! It cost me just around $40 for all of the shelves and I solved a big problem, storage! Sometimes when you need to get something done, you have to think a little outside the box. Including using two different sets of shelves from two different stores 😉
More office updates to come very very soon ☺️
