Coastal home decor is seriously some of my favorite. When I say coastal, I do NOT mean nautical, there is a difference. As you can see in these pieces that I sourced for you from Amazon, my ideas of true coastal style are areas that have these elements:

  • lots of natural light
  • warm whites and ocean blues
  • lighter toned woods
  • natural elements like raffia, woven rope, etc.
  • TEXTURE (something I think should be in any room, really)

A goal that my husband and I have as part of our 5 year plan is to purchase an investment property somewhere warm. We want to have the opportunity to take a road-trip or a flight somewhere and feel at home there. Definitely somewhere with a beach, family oriented neighborhood, relatively low maintenance, and lots to do for adults and children! I am sure that when this happens, a coastal style will be exactly how I decorate this space. I love watery blues so much that I incorporate them into my current English Tudor home to weave this coastal style in somehow 😉 !

Always remember, when it comes to decor and style, it is what you make it. Create a space that makes you feel happy to be there. There are no rules when it comes to home decor for me…sometimes the best rooms are a mix and match of various styles and THAT’S OK! 👍🏽

Do you all see yourself living in a space that is inspired by this coastal style home decor? What is the current style of your home, I’d love to hear!
